Absolutely.

Why not?
I'd mull it over if it was in sterling condition.
Only if it didn't have a wee problem.

what i'm thinking is that a car is scotland is more prone to underbody rust that elsewhere in the country , because of the scottish weather - rain snow - salt treated roads
-- answer removed --
Rust is less of a problem than it used to be, and cars all over the UK drive on salted roads.

A car driven in the sleepy countryside of Scotland might be far preferable to one subject to the rough and tumble of a city.
Don't buy a car from Cornwall either potential same problem & also paintwork damage from seagull pooh.
There was a situation that developed here in North Wales where a used car dealer who buys his cars from auctions in Scotland was being targeted by a rival who made comments about buying 'Scottish' car, implying they were more prone to rust etc etc. The rival was topld by Trading Standards that he would have to withdraw the comment from his adverts or face prosecution. The first dealer still buys his cars from Scotland and they are being snapped up by buyers
No, because it will want more money spent on it, then it will start going in a different direction to the way you want to go and eventually it will want to drive around on its own
LOL at Milvus post
you'll have to buy a new sat-nav.
From what I hear on the news from Glastonbury today it seems to be raining (again) and they're up to their ankles in mud already. Sun splitting the pavements here in Dundee today, gorgeous. Seemed last year that half of England was under water whereas we got off very lightly in Scotland. Wouldn't you have any second-hand car inspected thoroughly before buying anyway?
You may have angered the McLaren clan with your post...
