Carers arrived late as per usual. When they arrive I usually nip out for a fag. When I came in I heard one carer saying to Mic " Do you think I want to be here cleaning you now roll over" I was about to enter the room when she said you people make me sick, you get everything for nothing and expect total care from the likes of me on a low wage. At this point I did enter the room. I told her I had two comments to make Mic's care was costing over £1000 a month. If she had a problem with her pay to see her employer. Second point GET OUT.
Just report the hard hearted cow. She choose to do a 'caring' job, even if she doesn't like it she should keep her mouth shut (it's not a job I could do so I admire those that do it well and caringly). People like this give everyone else in the same profession a bad name.
Jeza, I've followed your posts regards Mic, I'm truly sorry to hear that, nobody deserves to be treated that way. You have no other choice but to report her for Mic & the other people under her 'care'? There are carers at this time attending my dad, but they are very good carers, sadly though he's given up & has stopped eating & is just taking liquid now. Your post has really upset me.Please, you must report her!
Jeza, did she respond to your 2 comments, or did she just do one? You must report the incident and get this person removed from Mic's care. I would also insist that they send someone who does actually care
I completely agree, tambo. I'm referring to the laws, policies and procedures that make it difficult. We had a "carer" in the home that grabbed a clients breasts. We weren't allowed to even send her home. She had to be able to stay for the rest of her shift. Things like that really don't help.
I know TWR. We weren't allowed. That's the problem. There's quite a process to go through first. She was suspended after the shift- but still remained in the building for a few hours after. We had to follow the law.
Jeza - that is absolutely horrendous for you. I don't do morning tv usually but switched round to Phil and Holly yesterday who were interviewing a son of his mother who was in care. He was unsure of her treatment and installed a hidden CCTV and there was evidence that 3 bloody big "bouncher" type of guys roughing and tumbling his mum. They received ridiculous sentences eventually. You would need to report this horrible person. God love the vulnerable. JJCon xx
When i was a carer 10 yrs ago, I covered for a carer and went to this elderly lady to wash and put her nightie on and put her into bed.
her tears started flowing and she said the y/days carer had made her sign for two visits and only turned up for the morning one and skipped the evening one!!! So no carer to put her to bed. I was fuming and promised her she wouldnt get into trouble for telling me. I reported it and hopefully she wa s sacked. No good carer leaves a patient like that.
Have never regretted doing what I done.
Jeza , I hope you found the courage to sort your carer out for mic. x
