A few years ago, Prince Charles turned up on a official visit to Scarborough, wearing a fox-fur hat. This was a bit odd because it was the middle of July. Apparently he told his Mother that he was going to Scarborough, and she said "wear the fox hat", so he did !

This appears as a letter in today's paper.
Mikey,I've been in hysterics! Up in the shower just now and thinking about the fox hat and suddenly it clicked and I couldn't stop giggling. Reminded me of when I was about 14 and had been told a long involved story which I didn't think at all funny till I related it to my very strict dad and half way through saw the funny bit (it involved molasses, which worked out to be ' mole arses', and swallowing my giggles finished the tale, father wasn't amused either but I had to make a hasty exit!
