parking in side road

live in a very narrow side street on a council estate. cars parked on either side of road u got to zig-zag all way down street. my sister-in law mother lives across from me has a drive which they dont use.her one daughter to sacred to use it. but has put no parking sign on it so she will always have a space. chatting with my sister in law today, told her you cant stop people parking opposite. she says that theres a law that all cars park on one side and that side his her mothers . let her be wrong plz

Of course she is wrong unless there are official council signs and there are yellow lines down one side of the road!
mmm? You could be well right Tourman but I do have a bell going off that half reminds me that all roads, back alleys & acess routes must not be used as to block the path of emergency vehicles.
