Saw Ginger play last night here in Montreal with his band Jazz Confusion (niiiiccceee!) and I suggest that every rock drummer goes to see him, and watches where everything they learned snd everything they have ever done, because he did it first.

I did a phone interview with him - he could start an argument in a phone box with no money!

I got through to the end - but only just!!!

I didn't ask for an interview here in Montreal, but apparently they set one up for me - I was dreading it - but he backed out at the end, I'm not too sorry!!

Used to bump into him in the early 70's, or thereabouts, in The Blue Boar Inn on the country road (B4494) between Newbury and Wantage, think there was a Studio or possible Manager nearby, he was quite a nice guy in those days!

I am covering the Montreal Jazz Festival for six magazines with interviews and reviews. I will need a fortnight off when i get home to recover, it's full-on here!
