very clear - daughter's boyfriend needs to learn a bit of manners,
and you may be the one to do that.

and you need to attend to the bad-mouthing, and what or why.
I know when three ladies of a certain age ( ha ha over seven that is !) get together, then a character massacre commonly ensues

Daughters landlord told her to install bollards to protect shop window from HGVs on service road. Boyfriend did installation. Wine/chemist & restaurant owners objected & shout insults ie 'blonde bimbos'. the bf was pinned against the wall by the business owners. I was called in to explain situ to other shop keepers but the eeeeejits just want the bf blood - lol.
