My sister worked as a rep in spain for 18 months. She loved it but it was extremely hard work for not much money. You get your food and board though so most of what you earn is spending money. She ususally worked 6.5 days a week with early and late airport runs.

I think you generally get sent to Spain, Greece etc before somewhere like Antigua, which I think is more for experienced reps. My sister worked for Thomson.

I guess if you worked for 18-30 hols you might have more 'fun' with the games and pub crawls etc that they do. You are more likely to have 'problem' customers with the more prestigious holiday groups as they are a lot more demanding.

Good luck though, wish I had done it!

There's some background information on working as a tour rep, here:

You don't mention whether you speak any foreign languages. If you don't, you might find it even harder to get work in Europe than in Antigua. (e.g. you're unlikely to get work as a rep in Spain if you don't speak Spanish).

There are various courses and qualifications available which might help you tofind employment. See the link, above, for further information.

PS. My sister couldn't speak any spanish when she was sent to Spain! They want good sales people more than anything.
a friend of mine worked for Travel City in Majorca and hated it. She was home after 6 weeks. Money was poor, hours long and pretty tiring in the heat and she very quickly grew tired of the shouting as when things go wrong you are obviously the face in the firing line sometimes with very little support. Many people enjoy this kind of work but you've really got to have the right personality for it. If you're not outgoing, energetic and pretty thick skinned i'd think twice. Also you can't usually choose where you're posted. Another friend who repped for JMC was sent to Benidorm and requested to go Crete the next season but was sent to Lanzarote. I think the longer you work for them the more pull you have when asking for certain places

I worked as an entertainment Rep in Majorca and Lanzorote. I really enjoyed it, all though i did find it hard work, 14 hour days and worked 5.5 days a week. Bu the good thing about entertainment reps are you dont have the airport runs.

I worked for Ola hotles and Hotetur (the latter one being the better). Marina Bellia is also a good one.

Good luck
