Please Can Anyone Help With My Laptop Problem?

I have two laptops, one with Windows 7 and one with Windows XP. As I type, my point of typing keeps changing so that I look up to find that I am typing several lines back from where I was before. It has been been happening while I have been typing this! PLEASE HELP ME!

I had this problem with my windows7 lappie. I think it was that an update was needed - maybe to Windows or maybe to Java or Adobe flash, can't remember - but it doesn't do it now.
It wasn't lazy fingerwork, like Hopkirk is suggesting!

I think you may need to buy a wifi mouse. I was always catching the pad on my laptop when typing until I bought a wifi mouse. AmazonBasics Wireless Mouse with Nano Receiver Black

I agree with whiskeryron and Hopkirk I had the same problem, bought a cordless mouse and turned the finger pad off -problem solved.
