Rejected Student Insurance Claim
7 Answers
Hi, I made a claim to Endsleigh Insurance over a TV/Monitor that was accidentally damaged.
It was plugged into my laptop through HDMI, but I tripped on the TV power cable, and now the TV doesn't recognise any laptops.
I made my claim, which does cover accidental damage, however, they've refused to cover me, based on there being no physical damage, and they think there's a component fault, which they say the manufacturer needs to deal with, as there's no evidence that this happened because of an accident.
I definitely know it's faulty because of the accident, but I can't prove it.
Was I right to be refused? If not, what can I do?
Thank you,
Shay
