mestral cycle while pregnant

I am 5 weeks pregnant but am experienceing period pain with bleeding. Is this normal is some women or is it a sign of a miscarriage

Hi funnylady,I have seen lots of girls on here say they have experienced a normal pregnancy when they have had bleeding but I have just suffered an ectopic pregnancy 6 weeks ago and had bleeding when my period should have been due.I had kind of watery brown bleeding and some shoulder pain.Please don't be frightened about this but there are other symptoms connected to this.I would contact your doctor for a check up and if you get any dizziness,nausea or severe pain tell him/her about it.I was 6 weeks pregnant when diagnosed and in surgery within 4 hours.I really hope all is ok...and I really wasn't sure whether to answer but I have had a big shock and would hate you to go through the same.Take care xxxxx

Have to agree with barb1314 on this one- don't want to scare you, but if you experience any pain call your doctor. It could be absolutely nothing to worry about, but im sure you would feel better if you knew for sure what was going on in there. Good luck and I hope all is ok.x
