Rapper in Macdonalds ad.

Knowing McD's usually use famous people, I assume the rapper asking for more change in the new UK ad is someone anyone under 20 has heard of. Being over 40, I have never seen him before, and will be very happy never to see him again, (lack of talent, bad hair, etc etc) but is he actually someone well known?

Nope, just some random idiot they gave 50 quid and pulled off the street. I'm paying a lot more monet to have him pulled off the street for a lot longer, so don't worry.

The only one I can think of is Justin Timberlake given that he was in the press recently as having signed to be the new 'voice' of McDonalds, so I think this might be who you are on about. Hope this helps.

Thank you both, I'll add he was black and had a hairstyle composed of what looked like a bush growing from an otherwise shaved head (which rules out Justin Timberlake!). As I know I have no interest or knowledge in rappers, I expected this to be one of the top few (though he wasn't familiar from accidental encouters with top of the pops etc) but maybe he really is a nobody. I agree we should club together to get the �50 to take him off as he really isn't very good.

At the end of the day he's just an actor, playing a role in a commercial. Yeah he may look a bit gormless, but McDonalds obviously wanted it played that way, if they're happy enough to put the ad out. He's no more a nobody than most other unknown actors in commercials.

I know that, Elle, it's just that McD's usually use the most expensive and well known celebrities, so I assumed this was a consistent policy, and therefore I'd missed one. At least it shows I'm not quite as out of touch as I thought.
