Minecraft - Ps3 - Would Like To Join Others But Dont Know How

Hi, My son has got really into Minecraft on the PS3 Edition. He has got to the stage where he would like to join others to help build worlds, but we do not have any other friends who play it to ask them. We also do not know how to join other workds, presume you Message them for the playstation ID or something.

Does anyone know if there are any Minecraft groups who would accept someone to help them build a big exciting world (UK preferably).

Any advise on this would be appreciated.

Otherwise, search in google for minecraft blogs and specify UK - they might have some links to multi-play games for UK players
