Just one to go and having trawled through every 12 letters animal, fish, bird etc plus nautical terms etc I am completely stumped.
The clue is: Might say no 38. Question 38 reads as follows.Yes Sir (3,3) and I have aye aye as the answer.
All answers are connected to animals, including birds and fish, real or imaganery. The correct answer has 12 letters.

Thanks scorpiojo. I hadn't spotted the link. The only answer which seems to fit with the 12 letters is sergeantfish, although I am am still checking that it can be one word.
