The additional security checks (where they exist) aren't at the normal security points; they're only at the gates to relevant flights. So there are no additional delays whatsoever at the regular security checkpoints.
It's probably highly unlikely that a holiday flight to Turkey would be subject to such checks but, even if they were taking place, simply going through the main checks with sufficient time to get to the gate early would be all that you would need to do to be sure of catching your flight. (i.e, if in doubt, don't go shopping, or for a coffee, after passing through the standard security checks; go straight to the gate so that you'll be in good time for any additional processing).
