Malaysian Airlines are a very good comp Diesel, we have travelled with the a few times from K.L. to Brisbaine never had no trouble, it's not the Airline its the evil basds that's around the world. I don't see why they should drop their prices though!
An awful lot if people are still nervous about flying. Couple that with superstition / belief in coincidences and I can see a downturn in Malaysian Airways bookings which could lead to a lowering of prices.
The plane should never have taken that route Zac, there was an alternative, but who made the decision to fly that way is another Q.
Probably driven by profit margins (might have cost more to go another way) and performance stats (keeping to time).
They may change their name. A lot of companies do when they get a bad rep.
well the shares have dropped 48% over the year

so fly but dont buy ( the shares )
Ouchee, DD - a bit like wondering if the King's Cross fire would lower tube fares?
Moz - sweet gurl

as an archeologist you arent on much ( coz you cant sell what you find ) so Egypt was damned cheap last year and this - and Jordan is this year
( is cheap to go to and stay ) - as a pensioner I am similarly constrained

and you know really rough places ( Syria, Aleppo, East Ukraine etc ) one way tickets are available....

You have an innate frasp of the markets and how they move DD

Eh?
Not at all like the KX fire. There is no alternative to the underground. There are many alternatives to an aircraft journey.
Malaysian airlines have been having a hard time financially for a while now. In view of that, I don't think they'll want to lower their prices. But who knows?
If a plane is empty, the prices will reflect that. Then again, they might reduce capacity in which case there probably won`t be any deals. It might be worth keeping an eye out though. Prices to Bangkok were quite competitive every time the troubles flared up. I hope Malaysian don`t go the way of Pan Am - Lockerbie finished them. They might re-brand.
Here`s an example of the kind of practices that can go on behind the scenes when an airline is struggling. The passengers don`t see it but people remember and all of these different issues that have happened over the years can be quite damaging to business. http://news.bbc.co.uk/1/hi/uk/339810.stm
Quite worrying 237.
Cant blame the airline for mans error.

every breath is a life risk!

What a strange turn of phrase.
Have to admit, very unfairly, that I wouldn't book Malaysian airlines now, but I'm already a nervous flyer.
