I've watched the programme now. The first was indeed Counting Stars. The second song was their forthcoming single Love Runs Out. Versions of both these, plus an earlier hit single If I Lose Myself, were on their Native album released last year http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Native_(album)

I didn't see it but they would almost certainly have sung Counting Stars as I'm sure that was a UK number one single
