Safe to tumble dry?

Hi folks, i've just dyed (with food dye) some cotton wool. Need it to dry a bit more quickly but don't have a washing line. I'm toying with the idea of putting the wet cotton wool in an old pillow case & sewing up the end so that hopfully the fibres will not block the filters of the tumble dryer. What do you think? Will it be safe?

I'm intrigued .. why have you dyed cotton wool? Try putting it in the airing cupboard.

Yes folks, you guessed it, I'm a year one teacher (the kids are 5 & 6) and next week we're making easter cards. I found in my "easter ideas pack" this lovely card to make with them. Imagine a piece of card in the shape of two eggs stuck together[fold is where the join is], front one with a crack through the middle. When you open the card, you see a lovely fluffy YELLOW Easter chick. Hence i've been dying cotton wool.

That is def the best idea, i'm going to put it in the airing cupboard today. Thank you. Hope you all have fun making these cards, [Note to self - find some orange pipe cleaners for the legs!] Happy Easter Everyone!!! : )

I'd racked my brains & couldn't think of any other reason to be dying cotton wool, 'specially at this time of year!

Good on you Cmithchell - I was going to make some Easter cards again this year, but cheated & bought some really nice fluffy chick ones when out shopping yesterday.
