Had to stop watching it last night 10 minutes from the end. I got to the point where Nicole Kidman was in the attic and discovered the picture of the home help.

What happenned next?! It seemed like quite a good film. Did Dr Who make a re-appearance in his Tardis...? was he dead too?

Thanks in advance

Nicole Kidman finally realised and accepted that she and her children were dead. She had experienced a nervous breakdown and smothered her children with pillows and then shot herself through the forehead, hence her migraines.

The old lady that the daughter kept seeing was actually conducting a seance for young Victor's family, who had recently bought the house. Victor's mother insisted they move away after the seance made contact with both children and Nicole Kidman, who threw a fit and hurled the humans seance notes around the room, terrifying the human mother.

Afterwards, the housekeeper calmed N.K. down and let her know she and the children could continue to exist in the house, but would have to accept that some human inhabitants from the real world may be noticeable in the realm of the dead, whilst others would never intrude.

Basically, she and the children continued to exist in the house, as before, but with greater enlightenment of their situation and no fear of sunlight. It was their limbo.

Thanks a lot - a further twist on top of the one I saw then!

Cheers
I remember when this film was 1st released and some git totally ruined it for me by telling me beforehand that they were dead :-(
It's a fine film.
BOO, my daughter did exactly the same to me with Sixth Sense. As I settled down to watch it she came home and said " Oh I've seen this, he's dead but does'nt know it " meaning Bruce Willis. Aarrgghhhhh.

My favourite part in this film is when Christopher Eccleston says, in all seriousness,

"Sometimes I bleed"- the way he says it cracks me up!
