Im 16 and when shaving yesterday i saw a small lump on the side of my throat. it seems to float within the skin. Im going to see my doctor about it but should i be worried of the nasty c word

only cancer it could be would be throat and thats not possible at you age go get it looked at anyway

I had the same problem. It could be a blocked Lymph Node or a non cancerous lump. Mine was just a lump although as suggested by bob, get it checked out for that piece of mind. Good luck.

Go to your doctor asap the chances are you just have raised lymph glands, this can be hormonal or due to glandular fever that is detected by a blood test.As a precaution do not share drinks with your friends and no kissing until the results come back clear or positive.You should only use your own towel as well! I have very recent experience of this and the chances of it being cancer are very small indeed.
