Hi there I am really worried about this Ebola situation with international travel so easy now this could turn into a pandemic I know that I will be much more aware of it now

It seems it's NOT an airborne virus but is spread by contact with body fluids, so if there is a risk, scrupulous hand washing is advised. On the TV news at lunchtime, they were showing people in an African Village (where ebola is already there) how to wash their hands to a clinical standard.

Too bad it was seen as a disease of poor Africans. No vaccine has been developed because there is no profit to be made.
Until it gets into the rest of the world, nobody will be interesting developing a cure.

I hope very much that the American doctor Kent Brantley will recover from ebola. He has apparently shown slight improvement in last 24 hours. I felt really sorry when I read he had caught it. (The carers wear head to toe suits and suffer from the heat inside and are only work supposed to stay inside it for an hour, but some are spending two hours).
