Hi loopyc. Try: Bleak House (Dickens); Gormenghast (Peake); Barchester Towers (Trollope); The Hobbit (Tolkien). Brilliant books - but I bet you can't stay awake!
The time travellers wife by audrey niffenegger. Because it gives your brain a bit of a work out thinking about it all, and it made me cry at the end. It is a really imaginative idea for a book and very well written.
Never read Salems Lot, andy-hughes. The tv series has freaked me out for years. Don't think I could handle reading it. I can still see the little kid floating outside the window. AAARRGH!!!
Nighta At The Circus by Angela Carter. It's a remarkable story set in the Victorian era about a woman who may, or may not be, part swan. It sounds daft, but it is such a wonderful read, I don't think you will be disappointed.
Catch 22. And if you've not read it already, WHY NOT! Perhaps the greatest novel of the 20th century. Or failing that any old pot boiler by Dean R. Koontz. Actually, no. Read some Richard Price, or Dickens, or Steinbeck, or John Irving, or, or...get out to a bookshop and decide for yourself, stop posting these requests and READ!!
