I start up my comp and all seems ok.I click on google internet and it opens and no problem.If I go off and then try to get Google again it refuses to open .It works again if I restart.help

I'm struggling to follow your post but I'll try to offer assistance:

Er, no you don't! (Well, not exactly, anyway!). Assuming that your computer is connected to a router (either via an Ethernet cable or wirelessly) it's connected to the internet as soon as you turn it on and (for example) it will automatically check that your anti-virus software is up to date before you've clicked on anything.

If you want to browse the world wide web, the next stage is to open a web browser. The one that comes with Windows is Internet Explorer but you can use any other browser, such as Firefox (which I prefer) or Chrome. Any of those browsers can be used to access Google's search engine (although Chrome is actually made by the people behind Google). So I haven't got a clue as to what you're referring to when you 'click on google internet'!

Further, it's not clear what happens when you 'go off and then try to get Google again'. If you simply walk away from your computer there's no reason why your browser shouldn't remain open, enabling you to continue using it as soon as you return. (i.e. there should be no need to click on anything at all).

My own preference would be to forget about whichever browser you're currently using and to install to Firefox (which allows you to search Google from the box at the top right, if that's what you're seeking to do):

That should work as I've suggested, i.e. by simply remaining open, and available for use, when you leave your computer.

However I think that we might need clearer information if we're to get to the real cause of your problem. e.g. exactly what is it that you actually click on and what happens if you leave your computer for a while. (Does it simply freeze or totally close?)

All was ok till windows update after I can not get on to internet on Google or explorer.I tried roll back an anti virus still no joy.

Sorry to be back again I tried to contact on i pad but it kept on cutting off when writing.My problem with laptop only started after an update with windows.After i noticed when I tried to open google it was ok.If I then went away to say spotify that was ok but then if I try to open google again it just wont.its the same with internet explorer that tries to open but wont.The problem seems to be with internet connections.I can connent to other sites ok.
I'm still lost!

Please clarify:
Are you using Internet Explorer or Chrome (or both) as your browser(s)?

Does that (or do they, as appropriate) allow you to access sites such as bbc.co.uk or Amazon.co.uk, or are you unable to access any websites? (i.e. is it just Google's search engine you can't access or the whole of the web?)

Which version of Windows are you using?

From the little I've managed to understand from your posts, it looks like a browser problem (rather than an internet connection one), so you probably need to reset (or update) your browser or, if you're only using the (totally dire) Internet Explorer, simply ditch it and use a better browser!

HI I have google and Int explorer on browserI downloaded Firefox this morningI can get on the google site ok.I am on windows 7.First thing this morning I could only get the Google to stay on until I disconnected it and did something else then if i Re klicked on google on the start page it would not open.After trying several clean up programmes it looks like the google page opens ok now.But i will use the firefox to browse as you suggest.I was able to get bbc I player and spotify etc direct from start up page so the problem that occured only affected the Google and i exp search engine.Thanks for you patience.
Well you've still lost me a bit because Google isn't a browser! If you're referring to Google Chrome (which is a browser designed by Google) then you probably need to reset it:

However, I'm pleased to read that you're using Firefox, apparently without any problems. (It's a great browser!).
Personally, I would suggest you remove, as I have done, all and everything that has a Google tag.

Incidentally, it is my belief that Firefox outstrips all other Browsers.
