Apt and extremely well put together, and excellent treatment of theme. have to confess to fair bit of headscratching to fill in all of the final gaps. Many thanks to Oxymoron for another high-class puzzle.

As you say, Trux, an excellent treatment of the theme - and very, very apt. Excellent stuff from Oxymoron to find so many thematic entries, and to incorporate them into the grid so tidily. An impressive amount of thematic material - and a very impressive puzzle. Also a bit easier than EVs in recent weeks, for which I was grateful - there's a lot to do at this time of year other than sitting inside solving crosswords!

Very apt indeed - I have to say I didn't find it all that easy and only made progress once I found a key word which combined with the title led me to the quotation.
The last few thematic clues had to wait till this morning...

I concur, but for the life of me I can't get 33D. I know what I'm looking for, but all possibilities seem to absent from BRB. Hint, anyone?

Look at the fifth definition of the first word in the clue. Rest is standard abbreviations in C.

Thanks, Jim. My problem would not have arisen had I not unaccountably written the wrong letter in the cell marked 36. As it happens I was looking for precisely that missing entity. So near and yet so far.
