Do you have to get the mobile unlocked, before I can put the previous sim card in my new phone? I just know that a 10 year old will help me out please lol.

If the new phone is on the same network as your previous phone then no just put your old sim card in and it will be fine, If its a different network then most usaly yes you will need to get it unblocked so you can use any network sim cards on it.
I had a blackberry curve unlocked so that I could use it on 3 but it still doesn't work on that network. The shop that unlocked it said that 3 can often not work.
I asked 3 and they said that their sim cards are higher spec than most and that my Blackberry was too old (it was actually brand new from a friend who had just been given an upgrade but found the keys too small so kept using her old phone).
Sounded like nonsense to me but it still doesn't work!
My blackberry from Virgin wasn't locked.
Mine was T mobile. They showed it working on orange after they unlocked it but, as I had only tried it on my 3 sim before and it still won't work on that, perhaps it wasn't locked either!
I would be very very cross if I bought a new mobile without a connection contract and it had to be unlocked.
Archer, T-mobile and Orange have merged and you will be able to use either signal.

Thanks for your input. I shall try again and see what happens. It is the same network.
