Does anybody else remember those pot noodle ads with some block dressed up as one of the snacks? I distinctively remember one of them ending with Roger Black chasing one of the dressed up guys in a car to eat a pot noodle.

I remember that advert, the guy in the car was comedian Peter Baynham (sp?) and he shouted "Siiilverrr" at Roger Black as he drove past.

Peter Baynham was indeed the moustachioed Welshman who fled from Roger Black in a car in the ad. Baynham is now one of the most influential comedy writers in the UK, having co-written "The Day Today" and "The Saturday night Armistice" with long time collaborator Armando Ianucci. He is part of the Iannuci / Chris Morris / Steve Coogan / Simon Pegg / Rebecca Front group of comics and writers. Most recently he wrote the animated series "I Am Not An Animal" (which also starred Coogan's voice as that of a horse).

yeah was very funny alright, remember the moustachioed man "laughing" at some unfunny joke, he was saing "my-sides-are-splitting!"
