I think a caring parent would have interrupted the phone call to deal with the child.

Oh yes Sqad, he went through a time of trying it on - doesn't wash with us - bad behaviour is just that.

I grew up in a house with NO telephone! Unimaginable deprivation.

I grew up in a town where we didn't get BK until I was in my 20s.

I'm suprised that BK sold all 23 of the pies to one customer .

Reminds me of the time i went into KFC and asked the person behind the counter if i could have two breast and was told by the young lady ( rather patronisingly ) that a chicken has only got two breasts ( never mind the fact that she was incorrect , because a chicken has only got one breast ) and i could only have one , because other customers will want breasts as well

Admit to smiling at it. Whilst not wishing to actually approve it does show how exasperating other people's lack of consideration for others can be, and the novel ways to "get one's own back" folk can find. The problem, of course, was with the parent who thinks parenting isn't someone they have to do. The kid is just a victim to a lack of guidance and control.

Maybe this mother was also brought up in a "let them do what they like" household. And the cycle continues.

I just don't believe the story. There might be an element of truth in it but I think it's exaggerated to make it more interesting to read.
