When I was in Ibiza last year I kept seeing trees with plastic cups hanging from them held by paper clips. What are they for?

It's all to do with insects nesting and visiting and all things fauna, and then the green people check them and we know what insects are about and bugs and things. Not a very erudite answer but hope that explains it.
