Isn't Flat Soda Water Disgusting? It Tastes Like Soap.

I have just ruined a perfectly nice glass of white wine by adding flat soda water. It did go 'phizzzz' when I opened it but that was just a mean trick. Ugh!

I buy all my fizzy mixers in small cans or bottles because its such a horrible mistake to make.

I looked at the cans of soda water in Sainsbury's but they seemed expensive. You get what you pay for, don't you, woof.

I now have an unadulterated glass of wine.

Its dearer than buying bigger bottles but cheaper than ruining good wine....actually if you find that you are throwing part bottles away because they have gone flat, you may find its no dearer to buy the smaller cans or bottles. I put fizzy mineral water in my wine and water my plants with any that goes flat.

I buy my bottles of 'juice' in the smaller 600ml bottles instead of the 1.5l or 2l bottles as the fizz is the important bit. Costs me a lot more but it tastes so much better.

I don't drink alcohol so this might be a silly question - why would you add soda water to wine?

When you add soda water, it becomes a spritzer, woof. It lasts longer and is very refreshing.

What is the difference between sparkling water and soda water?

I really don't know the answer to that, eccles. I don't like sparkling water but I do like soda water, is all I know.

soda water is foul. I make my spritzer with tonic and I have never had one go flat on me (so far).

Very different?? Soda water is water with carbon dioxide dissolved in it (under pressure).

OH drinks cola, we only ever buy cans these days - some of the offers are dirt cheap in places like Farm Foods, and it saves so much waste.

It is, eccles - which is why you won't catch me buying non-sparkling bottled water - I walk about with a very old bottle that used to contain something else, filled with tap water.
