Last two. Having problems parsing. 24a Advertise programme about a victory for old Labour. T?A?A?L - I have travail. But why old?? 25a Rolling Stones version of English. S?I?G?E - I have shingle. But why version of English??

Many thanks again for all your responses. I can't believe I didn't pick up the anagram. . A number of old words are used in crosswords. I got the trail and av. I just didn't think it necessary to put 'old' in. But hey HO.
Shingle is correct - type of stone.
