Have just checked the latest list of items scanned by Norton. They have quarantined one labelled as a Trojan - it was a game installer. I played the game successfully for some time without problems. Would it be sensible to uninstall it?
I thought perhaps if the installer is compromised, the game would be too? Would it not delete the game if I got rid of the installer?
Incidentally, I do play games quite frequently, and justify it by telling myself that it's helped to make my septuagenarian reactions much faster....
No doubt the game will work now that it has been installed but as it has been installed by a Trojan I think you should get rid of it. The game may have hidden within it a few 'nasties' which could be liberated to infect your Computer/Laptop.
I would also download and run a scan with the free edition of Malwarebytes in case Norton has overlooked something. Make sure it is the Free Edition and reject any offers for a trial run of the Premium Edition. The Free one only scans on demand and will Not conflict with Norton; whereas the Premium runs in real time and could cause conflict. :-
