Question Author
I rather like his accent and sharp banter with his colleagues.Despite his lack of career success Townsend knows his stuff and I think it is hard to be completely honest without at times being critical. In the case of Rory McIlroy, who is an incredible talent,Townsend was critical of his course management and wasn't questioning his undoubted ability. When McIlroy hit back,he had a lot of critics and indeed the head of the Golf Channel demanded that McIlroy apologised for his childish and immature behaviour.McIlroy mentioned his caddie which Townsend agreed with and respected. There is no grudge on Townsend's part.
