Are the religions only aimed only at humans on earth or do they include all other species in the universe?

If they don't what happens to all of the religions and their beliefs if aliens ever make contact or we find alien lifeforms?

What, indeed. James Blish had an interesting treatment of this topic in "A Case of Conscience".
Some suspect some religions may have sprung from encounters of with aliens, in fact, some religions are based on such alleged encounters.
Like all religions, they say whatever you want them to say.

mibn2cweus which religions are they?

Jomifl do they divert form their religious books? I thought their books were 100% to be followed strictly as they were written and NO diverting whatsoever or do I have it wrong?
Scientologists believe in spacemen.....do you need to know more ?

Nanu, Nanu !
Obviously there are no other species, what you are mistaking are messengers from God !
Henrietta, it is all down to interpretation, that is why there are so many sub-religions and cults. The catholic church does quite well making up the stuff that it wants to be in the bible but hasn't quite found yet, it's called 'dogma'.

Islam believes in life on other planets. The very first verse or teh very first chapter says,

"[All] praise is [due] to Allah , Lord of the worlds -"

So plural word has been used for world or "Aalimeen" in Arabic.

As for others apart from human, Quran talks about almost all of the species and also "Jinn" a being that human can't see.
How is a Muslim supposed to know where Mecca is to pray towards if he/ she is a few hundred light years away? or is there a Mecca for every inhabited planet?

/ "[All] praise is [due] to Allah , Lord of the worlds -"/

kp, please explain how that says that there is life elswhere. Certainly in English it does not imply that. Perhaps the original arabic is a litte more open to 'interpretation'.
If Christianity was aimed at every intelligent species in the universe - and if there's anything in it, why wouldn't it be? - then Jesus must have done the rounds undergoing to same process wherever he went in order to alleviate us - and them - from sin. Poor old Jesus!

I think God was quite possibly an alien.
Religion seems to assume that this world Is the universe. Aliens do not come into the picture.
It would be almighty interesting if alien missionaries were to arrive and insist we all started believing in the Eternal Invisible Miraculous Blob, though, wouldn't it ?

That is quite a leap of interpretation.

Mohammed also says that there are seven Earths set on above the other and seven heavens above held up with invisible pillars.

It would seem far more likely that he was talking about those delusional other worlds rather than other planets in an intelligent sense, particularly, since like the Bible that he plaigerised, Mohammed interpreted the stars as decorative dots.
Naomi24 - // If Christianity was aimed at every intelligent species in the universe . . . then Jesus must have done the rounds //

But that's EXACTLY the conundrum that James Blish tackled in 'A Case of Conscience'.
bert, I'd like to say "Great minds think alike", but I've never read him, so I'm reluctant.
