Doesn't he know, that they may already be here?

So perhaps before attending to matters in other countries he should be making sure his own country is safe from such extremists.

You didn't bother to read it did you AOG?
Gromit

Must admit Gromit i was simply discouraged from reading all of the very long report, but I have now done so, and I can't see anything in it that makes my earlier remark invalid, perhaps I will when I see our security services knocking down one or two doors and making numerous arrests and generally acting with the same gusto shown towards 'operation yew tree'.

/// On Friday we agreed with our European partners that we will provide equipment directly to the Kurdish forces; we are now identifying what we might supply, from body armour to specialist counter-explosive equipment. ///

Why didn't we also agree with 'our European Partners' on what amount they are going to chip in towards the £13million the British taxpayer has already apparently paid?

*** It is right that we use our aid programme to respond rapidly to a situation like this: Britain has given £13 million to support the aid effort. ***

he's bang on, the civilised world need to act together to stop these loonies. As the ROP is always telling us they are mostly moderate perhaps they should assist in the erradication of the extremists, however I fear they tacitly approve.
in case you missed it, lol.

///The wife & I decided to take an organised trip to Afghanistan to see for ourselves what the place was like.

It didn't start well when the train we were travelling on, broke down a few miles North of the capital.

What a third world ***!

Streets full of angry bearded types glaring at us & the wife stood out in her sundress, as all other women had head to toe burqas. We are so dead I thought.

Anyway, Dave the organiser suddenly remembered that Finsbury Park had a tube station, so we were able to get safely to Kings Cross and on to Kabul, from Heathrow.///

Undoubtedly some approve, Saudi, Qatar, Kuwait are financing ISIS and supplying weapons. Unfortunately we can say anything because we need to fill up our petrol tanks each week.
Thanks for posting this gromit, my paper won't arrive until tomorrow. He's absolutely right. I'm sure that he knows that extremists are already in UK, although perhaps not members of IS. There has been radicalisation going on for a long time. Did anyone read the related article about a Tesco store being trashed by GAZA supporters, by the way?
I don’t think Oil will matter gromit, there are many sources outside the middle east and many yet to be exploited. If it became a full blown war the west would simply annex the whole lot anyway.
No, I don't disagree with Cameron but as he stated the problem is not 'invincible'. Time will tell how successful his words prove but more to the point, he and international leaders need to demonstrate their actions.

I seem to be some what alone in thinking Cameron is bang on and we need to nip ISIS in the bud now before they become too great a problem in the future.

These people are nasty and will not go away.

I understand a lot of people are weary after the Iraq and Afghanistan debacles, but Cameron is at pains to tell us this is different and should not be judged on the same criteria.

If we do not stop them now, a lot of western blood will be spilled in future, and our sacrifices in Iraq this last decade will have been in vain.
"I seem to be some what alone in thinking Cameron is bang on and we need to nip ISIS in the bud now before they become too great a problem in the future. "

err what part of "He's Bang on...." in my post of 11:30 above leaves you in any doubt that I too think he's "bang on"

Yes, I thought I had also concurred!
