Email From Apple
7 Answers
Hello ABers, this might possibly have been better in the Technology section, but thought I would post it on here anyway. Woke up to find an email from someone purporting to be from Apple I Tunes store, saying that someone from Russia had bought a game for their Ipad from them, using my apple ID. The email said that, if this person was me, then ignore the email, but if it wasn't me who bought this game then please change my apple ID. However, the thing that got me even more suspicious, was that, at the bottom of this email, the address stuff was all in German, and I just can't help wondering if this is a phishing email, in wh ich case I will ignore it. has anyone else had an email from the Itunes store like this? Hope you can help and look forward to hearing from you soon. Many thanks. chox.

I can't help but think that if it was really a straight-up email from Apple Itunes, it would have let me go to the appropriate place to change my password. don't really know what to do for the best .... thanks, Chox.
Never click on a link in an email that asks you to input your details, Apple account, Paypal, bank account or whatever.
It's a phishing attempt - hey don't take you to the account - they just steal your details.
Close the email and go to your Apple account to check any activity - there won't be any.

I would have thought If any on here receive Emails from their friends in Africa / India / Russia / Spanish Lottery / Whoever / whatever / some they do not know nothing about, the most sensible thing to do is, Report and delete, open them up and you are asking for trouble, do not EVER GIVE OUT your personal details to an Email.
