Thanks. I did just that, and once I worked out what I needed to do before I started recording the macro, it worked. Ctrl + Y now pastes values on my keyboard, and it's saved me a lot of time, so thank you.

Does anyone know where I can see a list of what all the keyboard shortcuts do in Excel and which letters are free to assign to new shortcuts? I just assumed Y was free because I wasn't told otherwise when I attempted to use it.
