You have been charged VAT on all of it. Approx 10%
20% = £2.66
Multiply by 5:
100% = £13.30
£13.30
I think VAT is 20%, Tilly
Tilly Vat is 20% in the uk,not 10% as you seem to think. :-)
£13.30 vatable items
£2.66 VAT
£12.31 non vatable items
I just divided the amount by the vat amount. £28.27/£2.66 = 10.77. I may have misunderstood the question.

I though black cat wanted the percentage of the whole amount.
(vat charged) / (total amount) convert to %age

2.6 / 28.77 = 0.0903 = 9.03%

Assumes total cost is liable for VAT
I wish I hadn't answered this.

sorry if i was unclear. I bought 3 toys from amazon, one for around £8 one for around £9 and one for around £13, and was charged £2.66 VAT and i still can really understand why
The VAT seems to only have been applied to the £13, are some toys VAT exempt?
Is there VAT on delivery charge?
