My chillies (Apache) seem to be taking forever to ripen this year. I`ve had loads of green chillies for quite a while but there isn`t a hint of red yet. Has anyone else noticed the same?

I got a chilli plant this year. It grew two chillies. I picked a green one because I actually thought it was a pepper plant...big mistake. The other chilli went red.
I don't even recall seeing your chilli plant !
Have you brought it indoors, to a sunny location ?
Mine are in the greenhouse and I have picked a few red ones and have more ripening. I can't remember what variety they are as I've taken seed from them from a few years now. I'm on the south coast which probably helps.

Thanks. Maybe it`s because I planted them a bit late but they are pretty mature and shouldn be ripening by now. They get lots of warmth during the day because they are on a sunny patio but I`m having to bring them in at night now. I`ll give it a bit longer and if nothing happens, I`ll pick them green.
