Wearing the same pants

So, for two or three days, you open your drawer and grab some pants.

After Olive has been here, the same pants magically appear back in the drawer (I'm not sure how that happens ... I think it's one of those "magic pants drawers").

Then, for two or three days, you open the drawer and grab some pants ...

... the same ones !

Unless we need "special pants for a special occasion" ... do we all just wear the same two or three pairs of pants over and over?

What ??

So you just have loads of identical pants, Boxy ?

LOL

Err ... why ????
Yes - saves thinking in the morning.
Question Author
Sorry, Boxy ...

I'm busy trying to NOT think of the words "skid marks" after RATTER's post.
Last in first out here too.

But we only wash clothes once a week as there's only two of us and we don't get a full load of the same colour sooner than that. We therefore have about 15 pairs each. I know because every so often I buy a couple of packets of 5 from M&S and chuck out most of the old ones.

I like to have enough pairs to go away with for 2 weeks and not have to wash them plus a few to come home to. Simples.

But Boxy ... you need

Different colours to avoid showing through different outfits

Cool fabric ones for places like London

Date pants

Whaletail pants

Comfy evening pants

Sports pants

etc ...
sensible cotton work kniickers about 15 white 15 black and 5 flesh a few assorted pastels, prob around another 5 sets with bras two pants to each bra about 6 sets, shaper pants 3 55 pairs give or take a knicker
Question Author
That's all very logical, rowan.
Nope JJ - none of my pants show through things, the ones I have serve every purpose. I'm with maidup on this - we went on holiday for a fortnight and I didn't have to wash any til I got home again. Fabbo.

Get up, put pants on, forget about them.
I'm having to have a bra drawer and a knicker drawer, because these pre-formed bras take up a lot of room.
When they wear out I throw them away (in the recycling bin) so I suppose eventually the ones at the back will be worn. Also I put the newly washed ones in at the right hand side and push the others along to the left hand side. Hoping they will all get used .

Well, if I go for a run, or go to the gym, I like to put on a fresh pair afterwards.

So I go through three pairs most days.

If Olive doesn't come in for three days, she has about twelve pairs of undies to wash.

Also, if I go out in the evening, I usually change.

So four pairs, some days.

If I stayed at Starbuck's house, I'd find it hard to resist going and and mixing up all the pants in her drawer.

Oh, sorry ... that was so childish.
nungate, when you've finished at alba's you can come and sort my stuff out.
I have some BK's for the colder weather so they will be forming a queue at the front of my drawer soon.
ratter, don't tell porkies!!! Naughty!! Men, eh?

As I have to do the washing about every 2-3 days, and never let it pile up, I usually end up wearing the same 5 or 6 favorites and the rest end up packed into the back of the drawer. A mixture of pretty coloured and plain white M&S for me.
I wouldn't even notice jj. They are all the same type and just vary in being either black or white. When my husband was alive it was very different, but there seems no point now so I just buy the same all the time.
i feel quite boring - 15 pairs and they are all the same! i am a creature of habit...x
Half a dozen pairs of my favourite speedos are ready on the rack .. and are substituted according to the climate type .. and the colour according to how high I am working on that particular day : )
Alba - do you want them alphabeticised?
