it makes you think though boxtops and yes I'VE been there and had the privilege of a visit to a kids hospice.
your not thinking the same after seeing wonderful cheeri kids on the last stages of their life
Of course it makes you think Ivor and in mild cases may be helpful but when you get deep into the darkness (as you say you know) - no light can break through.

Again, your point is not valid because a Depression sufferer is unable to externalise appreciation of the suffering of others, so your idea would be pointless.
A Depression sufferer could have his or her family executed in front of them and not blink, such is the vicious grip of this terrible condition.
I used to work in a hospice, ivor, I was there six years - it changed the way I look at the world, but that was a long time after my depressive days so I could see the world more clearly. It taught me to get on with life - you never know what's round the corner.
However - that doesn't help lionel, in his current misery. I hope he's reading, and will talk to the Samaritans.
WE don't want to lose you Lionel. Please let us all help you if we can. We'll certainly listen to all you have to say and we won't judge. We will always try to help you as much as we can. xx
Lionel's been around a while, if you look at his profile - the post identified by jo showed his despair 18 months ago. We don't know, only he can say what's brought him to this further low point.
