Watching repeats of this at the moment, quite a few shows have ended up with only one getting through to the final. I don't recollect there being a show where no-one got through though. Could they have fiddled this if it did happen?
There have been shows where no one gets through. The team select one of their number go go against the chaser and the prize if they win is £1000 for each of the contestants.
When no-one got through, as did happen very occasionally, the team nominated one person to go through to the final. If he/she won then they would get £1000 each.
There have been quite a few shows where no one got through. As far as I remember they then all come back but have to nominate one player to play against the chaser and I think they get a grand each if they win.
Re puternut's post: jeez, what a pile of ****. Who on earth would pitch that idea to a tv commissioner, and who are the people they think will watch it?
