(2-part post):
Maybe it's just because I'm old and cynical but, whenever I see that an e-mail and site-hosting company is refusing new sign-ups (because there's a 'sparkling new' service coming soon) and see posts like yours (which suggests that your e-mail isn't working or that your site is down), I suspect that the firm might have closed (or be about to do so).
This firm struggled to make money, with an email service paid for by advertising, under the name Funmail. After similar problems trading as Another.com, they switched (in 2002) to providing a subscription-based e-mail service and then branched out to site-hosting. With so many competing services providing free e-mail, it's quite likely that they'll have run into financial difficulties. Similarly, there's so much competition for web-hosting services that some firms are bound to go under.
Another.com was sold a year ago. Business transfers tend to occur either when a firm is either doing really well or performing really poorly. (I think you can guess which of those alternatives I think is the more likely one).

The registered address for Another.com is
Another.com Ltd,
One Canada Square,
Canary Wharf,
E14 5DY.
However, the actual trading address is listed on Who-is as
Another.com
PO Box Highgate Studios,
Suite 522,
53-59 Highgate Rd.
London, NW5 1TL
The phone number is given as 020 7813 500 but there are plenty of internet posts which suggest that the phones are never answered.
If you simply need to switch to another free e-mail service (with both web access and POP3 mail through a client such as Outlook Express), I suggest the excellent Gawab. See paragraph 3, et seq, here:

I'll leave it to others to suggest decent web-hosting.
