I'd also check your local library - ours is a very good source of books on Computing - especially the 'Dummies' range, there's one on VBA.

I started by getting this book

Excel VBA Programming (Richard Shepherd, Mcgraw Hill)

It is excellent. I spent about �15 on it but it has saved me more than I care to imagine in terms of time and efficiency since then.
