I went on one of these this afternoon with the OH and my daughter. Met the guide outside Temple station and he took us on a lovely guided walk telling us all about Charles Dickens, saw loads of bits of London that I'd never seen before.
I'm having a gander through their list to see what one I want to do next. If you're at a loose end in London I would highly recommend killing a couple of hours on one of these tours.
Havent read your link yet rocky, but wanted to say Jack The Kipper Tour is brilliant. Son and daughter-in-law kept us in suspense when they said their taking us out in London, but dress warm, and nothing at all posh. lol.
It was a freezing cold night about 2 yrs ago. Great tour.
The tour today took us through Temple and Lincoln Inn Fields, the guide was very knowledgable and made Charles Dickens sound very interesting, think I might read some of his books. I only went on it as my daughter wanted to go.
Puss, you've just backed up what I've heard, nice to get another recommendation.
Ummmm, we could have an AB meet up and do the pub one ;)
I too did the Jack the Ripper one back in the late 80's and I really enjoyed. We ended up in the Blind Beggar Pub, the one where Ronnie Kray murdered somebody !
