Quite an interesting programme really.....

first time of watching it..... watch it til about 10 mins before the end - was it Ruth they decided to kick off? I'd have thought the guy might have been kicked out....

Ruth looks like a bulldog chewing a wasp doesn't she but apart from that, i think she is the winner!! i think she has been the best overall, but my God, she looks bloody smug. I personally wouldn't want to work with any of em apart from Paul. He seems to be the only one whos slightly more down to earth and living in the real world, although he's a bit smarmy, as witnessed in last nights show. Great stuff! Love it!

The 'semi final' last year was a day of interviews. I can't imagine Ruth would get through those without becoming stroppy and argumentative.

Just to clarify Stella it was the guy, Samuel, who was fired.

To be honest I think Sir Alan already knows who's going to win or at least be in the final 2 or 3 but he has to keep the show going for weeks on end.

No doubt he would like to fire most of them now given half the chance.
If the programme was based on looks rather than talent, it wouldn't be hosted by Sid James. Makes a refreshing change to all the "reality" ******** with celebrity wannabes and the tan tastic orange "beautiful" people.
I think Ruth and Paul are the strongest candidates. I think stroppy Michelle should be next out!!

alan made an interesting point on Jonathon Ross, that he thought Sayed (my personal fave) was a "schit hot salesman".

As arrogant and smarmy as he is I think Sayed will wine, though Paul and Ruth will probably make it through to the final 3
I don't like Sayed, but unfortunately I think Sir Alan does! He thinks too much of himself - there's a difference between being confident and being too over the top. Ruth and Paul will both do well I think, but I just see them as good sales people...I'm not sure if all round they're that great yet. At least in the last series there were a few more potentially all round good candidates!
A lot of people have commented in the press about Ruth's looks. I think it's a shame that comes into the equation. She is an excellent, natural saleswoman. Sometimes that kind of talent cannot be learned. I know she probably is mouthy but better that than a little mouse; at least she's not Jo. Ruth to win!
i only mean that Ruth looks very stern all the time, she doesn't crack her face. She looks fine but wish she'd unscrew her face a little bit more, cause she would look nice!

Sayeed is the business equivilent of "Coyote Ugly " I would NOT let him invest my eight year olds lunch money. Front a serious business project! lmao. He is a blamer and a claimer. They are a particularly peculiar cohort of candidates. I can't wait to see the "talent" on the next series. I wish that there was a serious talent : there waiting in the wings (someone who was gifted but had been denied an opportunity to shine .) Unless someone has managed to hide their light under a bushel, this series will be won by default - not skill! Which to me is not an outright victory. It is a shame as the programme premis is a good one!

Allez - oop, sorry just going back to sitting on the fence!
