It's a knitted jumper - made very baggy so it hngs down to mid-thigh length, with long baggy sleeves and a crew neck. The style was popular with the beatniks from the late fifties and early sixties, who eventually evolved into hippies.

My wife makes something called sloppy joes, which is bolognese sauce with mince (veggie mince in our case) put in buns. This is eaten with popcorn so is know in my house as Sloppy Joes and pop corn. Sounds Odd but is actually fantastic. Veggie Mince doesnt have fat in like beef mince so they hold together well if you did it with mince you would need to try and make it a little thicker than if you were doing spagetti.

I've always thought of a Sloppy Joe as being a type of hamburger where the meat is not formed into a patty, but wet - more like a bolognese sauce. It frequently appears on US menus and gets the name from Sloppy Joes bar in Key West (where Hemingway used to drink).

The UK Pizza Express chain recently added a new pizza they called Sloppy Giuseppe which has meat sauce topping.
