Does any understand how these people made their millions? What did they do in the .com world that they couldn't do in the physical world?

We've always had entrepreneurs who have succeeded in the world, whether it was the industrial revolution, the financial area, service industries or the dot com era
Can you give us an example of someone you have in mind who has made millions from dotcom?

Take the smartphone app called Vines.

This was created by 3 guys and just before it was due to launch Twitter paid 30 million dollars for the company.

If you can get the right "app" it does not need to have made any money to be worth millions.

Nowadays having people registered for your web site or app can be worth millions.

Facebook bought Whatsapp for millions when it was a free app and did not carry any advertising, so why did they do that?

But of course the guys who created Whatsapp made millions and are now dot com millionaires.
