Unfortunately, if your an exisiting BT Broadband customer you will not automatically get the new speed upgrades. If you wish to proceed then go here -
http://www.bt.com/broadband/bb_info.jsp
Use the upgrade button under the option that you want - be aware however that you are agreeing to a new 12 month contract to obtain the new speed upgrade !

hawkeye - I am leaving wanadoo as i have found their customer service to be atrocious.their website tells me that i can only receive a 1meg connection but i am moving to a supplier who says that i can receive up to 4meg,which i have confirmed on bt's website.
i recommend you leave ! visit adsl guide and compare isp's for further help.
Try this one ;

and use the availability checker on the left hand side.

Enter your phone number and it'll say first whether your exchange is ADSL enabled. Then it says whether it is ADSL Max enabled which is the new 8Mb service.
