I seem to think the term is CRASH. BoL
Block changing.
double declutch?
Crash gear boxes are an old type of gearbox prior to the invention of synchromesh which facilitated the need for double declutching to enable a clean gear change, hence the name 'crash' if you got it wrong. I believe as my previous posting suggested is a block change.
I only know double de clutch , but I don't think that is what you mean.
Block changing is also known as selective changing.
Allow me to try and help with getting the message through, furrypussycat.

Its definately 'block changing', unless you are using an Eaton twin split, when its called 'a mess'! (Sorry, truckers joke!!)
Thank you for confirmation, I do believe I am correct then. Hope reddog1 looks at your link.
