Not Menton specifically, but I've been a couple of times to that coast - really enjoyed it. Plenty to do, you can go to Monaco/Monte Carlo, inland to Grasse and the perfumeries - look at the beautiful people on the prom - day trip into Italy for the big market. http://ventimiglia.town/?template=t2&page=market

As others have mentioned, fine for half a day or so, but I wouldn't want to spend a fortnight there...

My wife's great grandfather is buried there. Next to a Count! You could visit his grave. It's a lovely old world place. Bramley
