How Late Are The Children...

...outside playing around your way? They were out until 8.30pm here tonight. All in the 7 to 10 age group...and its a school night. Very noisy and screetchy,bombing down the street in semi darkness.Granted,its a warm summery evening,but that seems rather late to me. I wouldn't want yo be the parents trying to get them to bed.
Or am I just grumpy? :-(

Children that live near me used to play outside as soon as they came home from school. Now the time from 4 pm to 6 is quiet and they don't come out until after six and play until 8:30 or 9. This seems to suggest they get their homework out of the way first, eat and then have two or three hours uninterrupted play. Seems a good Idea to me.

The little cherubs (!) were still skateboarding up and down the middle of the road at 10pm last night. They moved (albeit very grudgingly) whenever a car came down the road but they were then back again asap after that.

^^^ I don't have problem with them being out...but not so late on a school night...they were all quite young.

But TEN screaming kids under your windows for hours on end will test most folks patience. Oh...and combine them with happy dogs,and all hope is lost....
